Sole Source contract awarded to Global Bay as part of AccessPoint standardization program at NYC Department of Health
South Plainfield, N.J., September 29, 2006 - Global Bay Mobile Technologies, Inc. today announced that the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has awarded Global Bay with sole source procurement contract for AccessPoint software and services.
The Department of Health deployed AccessPoint in 2004 as part of its program to introduce electronic data collection systems for their field and case management staff. The software was initially used to deploy solutions for:
- Environmental Inspections
- New Born Mothers Assessments
- Physician Detailing
- Day Care Inspections
The sole source contract was awarded based on the success of these deployments and the agencies desire to use AccessPoint as the standard mobility platform for other groups and department. This contract will significantly reduce procurement cycles and allow individual groups to deploy sooner.
