Mr. Powers is founder of Powers Global Strategies, LLC, a government relations and strategic consulting firm based in New York and Washington, D.C. Mr. Powers is the former First Deputy Mayor under Mayor Rudolph Giuliani for whom he also served as Campaign Manager and Transition Chair. Prior to that, Mr. Powers had a 25-year career as an attorney, certified public accountant and consultant, advising both publicly and privately held corporations on strategy and communications.
Mr. Powers is a frequent speaker on government relations matters. Most recently, he was invited to speak at the Investment & Legal Protection International Seminar and delivered a keynote address at the China-U.S. Business Forum, both in Beijing.
Salvatore Salamone,
with more than 35 years experience serving as a consultant on ways information technology can be utilized to improve the management of government, Mr. Salamone has worked with a number of information technology companies committed to the state and local government market. Prior to that, he held senior information technology management positions in New York City government, including the Director of the Mayor's Office of Information Technology Management.
For the last twelve years he has provided strategic and tactical marketing to technology firms that are focused on the state and local government marketplace, with a focus on the New York City government.
Mr. Stewart is a serial entrepreneur with a strong Technology and Financial Services background and proven leadership expertise building and rapidly growing successful businesses.
Currently, Mr. Stewart is a Managing Director of Geometric Group LLC, a venture and business development firm which he founded to invent, invest in, and operate technology-enabled businesses that serve targeted markets.
Via Geometric Group, Mr. Stewart founded and serves as Chairman of Monitor110, a rapidly growing company that offers an innovative financial intelligence solution that enables institutional investors to access, analyze and monetize information gleaned from the internet in a manner previously unthinkable.
Prior to establishing Geometric Group, Mr. Stewart founded Mimeo.com, an internet-enabled document production company with a build-to-order manufacturing facility in Memphis Tennessee. As CEO, Mr. Stewart grew built Mimeo.com into a 130-person company with 5 years of demonstrated 70% annual growth. Mr. Stewart remains Chairman of Mimeo.com, which was included on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies in 2004 and 2005, the 2005 Red Herring 100 list of private companies that drive technology and Deloitte's Technology "Fast 500" list of the fastest growing technology companies in North America.
Prior to Mimeo.com, Mr. Stewart founded Square Earth Inc., a consistently profitable internet technology firm which developed web-based applications for large corporations such as Citibank, AIG, Merrill Lynch, Pfizer, and PepsiCo and which grew at a rate of over 100% a year. Square Earth merged with the pre-public Proxicom, which was included in the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies in 1998, and successfully completed an IPO as the combined company in April 1999.
As Management Consultant at Ernst & Young Consulting, Mr. Stewart focused information technology and financial services.
Mr. Stewart serves on the Board of Advisors for Global Bay Mobile Technologies Inc. and Meetup.com. Mr. Stewart also serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Draper Fisher Jurvetson Gotham Ventures, the leading NY-based early-stage technology focused venture fund and an affiliate of the world-class venture firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson located in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Stewart holds a degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and has additional business course work from both Wharton and New York University.
